Informational design:

Definition - The skill and practice of preparing information so people can use it with efficiency and effectiveness. From street signs to websites, information design is about delivering clear and concise information through visual sources.

Example -

This coffee sign clearly shows the different types of coffee you can make and what is required to make them. It is a great example of clear infor

mational design.

Instructional design:

Definition - Practice of creating tools and content to help facilitate learning most effectively. The idea behind instructional design is to translate instructions as visual source in order to help them understand a process/information. Successful instructional design is effective and efficient in delivering information.

Example - 

A clear and simple guide to casting on a knitting needle.

Interactive Design definition and examples

Interactive Design:

Definition - Defines the structure and behaviour of interactive products and services. Interaction designers create compelling relationships between people and the interactive systems they use. From computers to mobile devices and appliances. Interaction designers lay the groundwork for intangible experiences.

Web 2.0 definition and examples

Web 2.0:

Definition - A second generation of internet-based services. It facilitates creativity, information sharing and most notably, collaboration. It is movement away from static webpages to dynamic and shareable content.

Examples - Include networking sites such as:

 A free access social network. Users can join networks organised by city, workplace, school and region to connect and interact with other people. The website currently has more than 175 million users worldwide .

 A web based, free content encyclopedia accessed and edited by people all over the world.
