Information/Instructional design defintion and examples

Informational design:
Definition - The skill and practice of preparing information so people can use it with efficiency and effectiveness. From street signs to websites, information design is about delivering clear and concise information through visual sources.
Example -

This coffee sign clearly shows the different types of coffee you can make and what is required to make them. It is a great example of clear infor
mational design.



Instructional design:
Definition - Practice of creating tools and content to help facilitate learning most effectively. The idea behind instructional design is to translate instructions as visual source in order to help them understand a process/information. Successful instructional design is effective and efficient in delivering information.
Example - 
A clear and simple guide to casting on a knitting needle.
